How Standard Fees Are Calculated
Standard fees are based on: (Weekly charge × 51 ÷ 12 = monthly fee). This creates a fixed, annualised monthly fee. Monthly fees shown are rounded down.
All-Inclusive Service
Our Standard Fees include everything your child needs during their nursery day:
- Freshly cooked nutritious meals & refreshments (breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks, drinks)
- Unlimited personal care items including wipes, suncream, nappies (if required)
- Enhanced learning experiences, resources, external activity providers, and enrichment activities beyond basic EYFS provision
Fees and Funding
Government Funding
At Apollo Day Nursery we offer the follow funding streams
- Disadvantaged (Families in Receipt of Additional Support (FRAS))
- 2-year-olds (15 hours per week/570 hours per year)
- Universal entitlement for all 3- & 4-year-olds (15 hours per week/570 hours per year)
- Eligible Working Parent Entitlement for 9 months – 2 years old (30 hours per week/1140 hours per year)
- Eligible Working parent 3- & 4-year-olds (additional 15 hours per week/570 hours per year on top of the Universal entitlement)
Funded Allocation
Funded hours can be used: 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday 51 weeks of the year
Funded hours do not include meals, consumables and activities, which are charged additionally as per the rates in the chargeable extras table.
51 Week Offer
Government funded hours are stretched across the 51 weeks.
- 15 hours funded stretched funding over 51 weeks = 11.18 hours per week
- 30 hours funded stretched funding over 51 weeks = 22.35 hours per week

Chargeable Extras
Monthly invoices:
- We want to ensure we are completely transparent with our families on how fees are calculated, to ensure you understand what you are charged for and why.
- You will see your funded hours listed as £0.00 as your funded hours have no monetary value.
- You will also see a cost listed as a consumable fee.
- The optional consumable fee is broken down into an hourly rate, and it is only charged for the amount of funded hours we are able to apply to your booking pattern.
- Government funding is not intended to cover the costs of providing nutritious meals, snacks, consumables such as sun cream and nappies, or educational outings.
- These are therefore charged additionally as per the rates in the chargeable extras table.
- These charges are voluntary. If you are unable or unwilling to pay them, please speak to your Nursery Manager, who will provide you with more information on alternatives and our packed lunch policy.

Funded Only Places
This section applies only to parents accessing funded-only places without additional chargeable hours or sessions.
We offer a limited number of ‘Funded Only’ places with funding stretched over 51 weeks per year. No registration fee or deposit is required to join the waiting list for a place.
Eligibility Priority
Places are allocated based on availability at the time your child starts nursery. Priority will be given to families with extenuating circumstances or who currently or previously are in receipt of: 2-year-old funding (2YO), EYPP funding or a means assessed benefit.
Session Options
Funded only sessions are available on any weekday.

Important Policies
- Funded Only sessions cannot be swapped. Additional sessions/hours cannot be booked.
- All places require one months’ notice in writing to leave nursery or opt out of the ‘consumable fees’.
- Our Standard Fees Terms & Conditions and Funded Only Terms & Conditions, Opt Out Policy Apply.
- During registration, parents are required to confirm if they wish to opt in or out of the ‘consumable fees’, read and sign to agree to our policies / terms and conditions to ensure full transparency
